Ayurveda Eye Care (Eye Wash, Netra Patah)
Eye wash using herbal kashayam, face massage and netra patah (application of herbal paste on the eye). Reduces eye strain, tiredness and headaches. A 15-minute consultation is mandatory before this therapy.
This multi-step therapeutic routine restores ocular hygiene and comfort. It begins with Netra Dhara, a gentle pouring of cooled herbal decoction (Kashayam) across the eyes, followed by a specialised facial marma massage around the forehead and temples. It concludes with Netra Patah, where a cooling herbal paste is applied over the closed eyelids and orbital area to draw out deep-seated heat.
A 15-minute practitioner consultation is mandatory first. The experience is intensely refreshing, crisp and cooling — the herbal eye wash gently flushes pollutants (a mild burning sensation is possible), the marma facial massage relieves sinus and temple pressure, and the final herbal paste delivers long-lasting cooling.

Facial marma massage
A specialised massage around the forehead and temples relieves sinus and temple pressure.

This routine is not performed for any active eye disease and should be avoided with active weeping eye conditions, severe allergic flare-ups with high discharge, or open lesions or skin rashes around the orbital region. It is only carried out after consultation with a qualified Ayurveda practitioner, and is well suited to those working long hours on screens, students, people exposed to dust, pollution or heat, and anyone with stress-related tension headaches or optical fatigue.
