Njavara Kizhi — Full Body
Ayurvedic oil application followed by milk-njavara kizhi over the full body. Strengthens joints and muscles and rejuvenates the body. A 15-minute consultation is mandatory before this therapy.
Known classically as Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda, this is a deep-tissue sudation and nourishment therapy. Njavara unpolished red rice is boiled in a herbal-root decoction and pure milk, bundled into muslin kizhis, and applied in long synchronised strokes over a pre-oiled body.
It is an exceptionally warm, smooth, comforting and restorative experience with no harsh strokes, only steady, rhythmic thermal friction from the milk poultices. Over a course of sessions it builds stronger muscles and joints, making it especially valuable for seniors. A 15-minute consultation is required first.
