Udwarthanam with Kashaya Dhaara
Powder scrub with kashayam pouring over the body — reduces muscle stiffness, improves blood circulation and supports joint mobility. Practitioner consultation required.
This dynamic therapy begins with a dry herbal-powder (choornam) scrub rubbed briskly upward against the direction of hair growth (Pratiloma) to open the pores, reduce subcutaneous fat and stimulate the metabolic fire. It is then balanced by Kashaya Dhaara, in which warm therapeutic decoctions are poured to soothe the scrubbed skin and flush toxins.
It is an invigorating, exfoliating and stimulating session: the textured friction with firm upward pressure creates a warm tingling, transitioning to relief as the warm decoction streams over the body.
